[Photo taken 21.9.20] The area of Clifton Moor, York, retail park with Dunelm (furniture and homeware outlet) at one end and Tenpin (bowling) at the other is connected to another retail park by a pedestrian-cycling link. At one end the sign faced backwards/the oncoming users so people who only used it in the other direction did not know it was shared use. This meant some people pushed their cycles and some pedestrians did not know it was shared with cyclists. More obvious was the fact that was no signage at either end to counteract the appearance of a route that simply lead to the service road/areas. In fact the short stretch of segregated tarmac links communities - New Earswick, Haxby, Clifton Moor, Clifton... As well as increasing the variety of shopping options such that you could spend some hours here. Surely better for the outlets on both sites.
